Ordsall couldn’t be in a better location. On foot it’s just a five minute walk to Salford Quays & mediacity:UK and less than a mile from Manchester’s vibrant city centre.
Despite covering an area of less than 190 acres, the village boasts excellent community facilities including two primary schools, two churches, a health centre, community café and a library.
Transport links are excellent with the M602 leading right to the heart of Ordsall. Public transport includes the Metrolink with three stations within walking distance providing swift access to Altrincham, Bury and Manchester city centre. The service runs every 12 minutes on weekdays and every 15 minutes at the weekends. From 2011, trams will run to mediacity:UK and the frequency of services increased to provide a tram every six minutes. Further investment will see the Metrolink network extended to Chorlton, Droylsden and Oldham.
Ordsall Lane, Trafford Road and Regent Road are well served by buses linking the village to Manchester, Eccles, Trafford Park, Stretford, Rusholme, Longsight, Hulme, and Wigan. Manchester International Airport is just eight miles away.
